Yes, you can do Riddle & Roam inside the Orlando theme parks. In fact, some of our mysteries may take you into more than one park before your investigation is finished.
We are longtime theme park fans, and part of the fun for us is finding the places people may have passed dozens of times without stopping. Orlando’s parks are full of tucked-away areas, lounges, restaurants, transportation routes, and details that give us plenty to work with when we create a mystery.
An Orlando theme park mystery gives you a reason to explore some of them while you follow a Society investigation.
How Does Riddle & Roam Work Inside a Theme Park?
Your mystery begins the same way every Society investigation does. You receive a case and learn where your first stop will be. Once you arrive, the story begins to lead you through the locations connected to your investigation.
Some mysteries remain within one park for part of the experience. Others can take you farther. Your route may eventually lead into another park or another area of the resort.
Each stop has a purpose within the mystery. You will uncover more of the story there and receive a password riddle connected to something you can find in the location around you.
Theme Park Transportation Can Be Part of the Adventure
Orlando’s theme parks have some pretty useful ways of getting around, and we keep those transportation systems in mind while designing our routes.
When a mystery travels between different areas, we look at the transportation available and map the investigation in a way that makes sense. Depending on the mystery, free resort transportation can help carry you from one part of the adventure to another.
That travel time also gives you a chance to talk about the case. You may find yourselves on the way to the next stop debating a clue you just solved or trying to work out what the Society has planned for you next.
Discover Places You May Have Walked Past Before
One of our favorite parts of the Orlando theme parks is how much exists beyond the attractions themselves.
There are lounges where you can sit for a while, interesting places to eat, and spaces that deserve a closer look. We like finding those places and working them into our mysteries when they fit the investigation.
Your Society dossier may also contain Preferred Provisions, giving you something to consider ordering while you are there. A stop can become a chance to have a drink or try some food while you read the next piece of your case.
Even longtime park visitors can end up somewhere they have never taken the time to explore.
See the Orlando Theme Parks Through a Mystery
Riddle & Roam gives us a way to use places we already love as part of a larger story. The park around you becomes the setting for the investigation, while real details within it help move your case forward.
If this will be your first Society investigation, you can read how Riddle & Roam works before you begin.
Then choose the mystery that catches your attention and find out where the Society needs you.
