The Riddle & Roam Society is a centuries-old fellowship of investigators and adventurers built around one belief: the world’s greatest mysteries reveal themselves to those willing to pursue them together.
For generations, its members have followed clues, visited real places, and investigated stories that others have left unfinished. When someone reaches the edge of an answer they cannot find alone, the Society is who they call.
Its membership remains small. Its records do not.
Who Is the Riddle & Roam Society?
The Society was founded in secret, and much of its history remains within the Archive. What we do know is that its investigators have moved quietly through history, following mysteries wherever they lead.
That work continues today. When you begin a Riddle & Roam mystery, you are entering one of the Society’s investigations. You will follow its clues through real locations and work alongside members of its Inner Circle as you get closer to the answer they have been seeking.
Meet the Society’s Inner Circle
The Archivist is the Record-Keeper and guardian of the Society’s history. Every expedition and discovery is preserved within the Archive. Its shelves hold far more than most Society members will ever be permitted to see.
The Cartographer charts the paths Society investigators follow in the field. Their coded maps contain routes and symbols that may require a closer look. Society members learn quickly that a map can contain more information than it first appears to.
The Keeper of Keys oversees the Society’s artifacts, relics, and vaults. Objects recovered during investigations eventually reach the Keeper. Some are preserved. Others are placed somewhere considerably harder to reach.
The Navigator guides investigators when the trail becomes difficult to follow. Their influence can be found within the clues themselves. If you find yourself uncertain about where the Society is leading you, the Navigator would probably tell you to look again.
Then there is The Shadow.
Very little is known about this member of the Inner Circle. The Shadow appears where least expected, and their purpose within the Society is understood by very few. There are even members who question whether the name belongs to one person.
Where Is the Society Active Today?
The Society has been spotted in cities around the world over the years. Its investigators tend to gather in places where history, storytelling, and unexplained details leave something worth pursuing.
At present, Society investigations are concentrated in Orlando, including within and around its theme parks. These places contain layers of storytelling and carefully built worlds, which have given the Society plenty to investigate.
More locations will be added as the Society’s work expands.
How Do You Join the Riddle & Roam Society?
This is where your own investigation begins.
The Society does not recruit carelessly. Your first Riddle & Roam mystery places you under consideration as its next initiate. As you follow the case, you will solve clues, uncover passwords, and continue through the locations the Society has chosen for your investigation.
Reach the end of your case and you will discover what the Society has been asking of you.
By order of the Society, you are invited to present yourself for initiation.
