A Message From The Society

There have been whispers of an Elixir unlike any other among members of The Society. No one agreed on what it promised, only that it was powerful enough to unsettle its maker, the Potionmaster.

The Potionmaster went silent not long after. What he left behind was a trail, built as a test. He believed that some discoveries are too dangerous to destroy and too powerful to share. So he did the only thing he could. He hid the pieces and waited to see who would come looking. Each is marked with the subtle signature of his work: a pattern of tree roots, a reminder that nature itself is the oldest medicine.

The Society has sensed someone else searching for the scattered ingredients. They do not know who, only that the Elixir may soon be completed by someone whose intentions remain unknown.

Your task is clear: First, determine what the Elixir was created for. Next, follow the Potionmaster's trail and recover the ingredients he hid along the way. You must find the ingredients before anyone else can, for the Potionmaster did not conceal his work out of failure, but out of fear that no one, including himself, could be trusted with its power.

The trail will test more than your cleverness. Proceed carefully, Explorer. Your first location awaits.

Who We Are

The Society's Inner Circle

The Society is a centuries-old fellowship of investigators and adventurers, built on a single belief: that the world’s greatest mysteries reveal themselves only to those willing to pursue them together.

When someone finds themselves at the edge of an answer they cannot reach alone, the Society is who they call. Its members have moved quietly through history, following real clues, visiting real places, and piecing together the hidden stories that have shaped the world in ways most will never know.

The Society carries on today for the same reason it began: because the world has never run out of secrets.

By order of the Society, you are invited to present yourself for initiation. Will you accept?

Each Role serves a purpose

Meet the Society Members

The Archivist

The Record-Keeper

Guardian of chronicles past

The Archivist safeguards the history of The Society and the chronicles of every expedition ever undertaken. No discovery goes unrecorded. No name is forgotten. The shelves of The Archive extend further than most members are permitted to see.

The Cartographer

The Mapmaker

Charting what others cannot see

The Cartographer charts the hidden paths and creates the coded maps that guide Society members through the field. Every route is deliberate. Every symbol carries meaning. The maps are never wrong, only sometimes misread.

The Keeper of Keys

Guardian of Artifacts

Curator of the vaults

The Keeper of Keys manages The Society’s relics, artifacts, and vaults. Every object recovered in the field passes through their hands. What is deemed significant is preserved. What is deemed dangerous is locked away.

The Navigator

Guide Through the Unknown

Steadying those who wander

The Navigator specializes in helping explorers stay the course when the path grows uncertain. Their guidance arrives through the clues themselves, embedded in the structure of every mystery. When you feel lost, look again.

The Shadow

The Unseen

Present where least expected

An enigmatic agent of The Society’s most secretive inner circle. The Shadow’s role is known only to a few, and their identity to fewer still. Some members question whether The Shadow is a single person at all.

You

The Next Initiate

Under consideration

The Society does not recruit carelessly. You have arrived here for a reason, and that reason has not gone unnoticed. The question is not whether you are curious enough. The question is whether you are ready to follow where curiosity leads.

Inside the Experience

How Does a Mystery Work?

Solve the Location Riddle

The first riddle of each chapter reveals a hidden location. Unravel the clue, then make your way there.

Read the Society Mythos & Perform the Rites

At each destination, gather with your fellow explorers to enjoy the location’s recommended food and drink while discovering the next chapter of the mystery. Complete the Society’s Rites together, raising a toast, sharing a discussion, or capturing a moment that bring the mystery to life and mark your progress along the path.

Seek the Society’s Password

Within each location, use your surroundings to solve the on-site riddle. It will lead you to a real object. The name of that object is the password that unlocks your next envelope.

Decode the Final Password

Collect all three passwords and arrange them as instructed. What emerges will guide you to the final location.

Visit the Society’s Final Location

This is the last chapter of your tale. Perform the closing rites, take in all you’ve uncovered, and complete your initiation into The Society.

Locations Revealed

This guide is intended for one appointed member of your group who may wish to make dining reservations, or for those who prefer to focus primarily on visiting the locations, in an abbreviated experience.

If reservations are required or recommended at a location, that information will be noted. Otherwise, walk-up options are usually available, and you can decide what works best for your group’s schedule. For those visiting during busy seasons, securing reservations in advance is highly recommended.

If you’d rather keep the mystery alive for everyone, continue through the experience using the buttons and links as usual. The only button directly below to avoid is the “Reveal Locations” warning button, as it opens the Reveal Locations Guide and reveals each stop in advance.

The experience can still be fully completed without sitting down at each dining location.

Only click the Reveal Locations warning button if you wish to see the locations in advance.

Before You Go

The Society's Guidance

When to Go

This adventure can be undertaken in any season, though the path is best walked between Wednesday and Sunday, when locations are most welcoming. We recommend avoiding holidays, when crowds are at their height.

Your Pace

To complete the mystery, you must visit every location and uncover each password. How and when you explore is entirely up to you. Some complete the path in a day, others over several.

If You Need Help

If a riddle leaves you uncertain, help is near. Each location’s page includes a link that reveals a photograph of the on-site object that will help you solve the riddle. Use these photographs only if needed; discovery is, after all, the heart of the journey.

Itinerary Changes

Society locations are living places, their hours and atmosphere may shift over time. We strive to keep our records current, but always confirm details online before you travel.

Code of Conduct

The Society upholds respect, for places, people, and the unseen threads that connect them. Treat fellow explorers and staff with courtesy. They are stewards of the spaces we pass through.

If a location is busy or seating is limited, remain flexible. Observe, adapt, and move through each stop with care, as any good Society member would.

Risk & Responsibility

Adventure drives every Society mystery, but safety must lead the way. Obey all laws, never drink and drive, and use sound judgment throughout your journey.

Logistical matters

The Society's Recommendations

What to Pack

The journey is made smoother with a few trusted essentials:

Comfortable walking shoes
Sunscreen
A GPS-enabled device (Google Maps recommended)
Charging cable for your phone
Wallet or form of payment
Your Society Dossier, never wander without it

Cost & Transportation

Each stop on your journey has been carefully chosen with flexibility and cost in mind. Parking fees vary by location. We’ve provided routes that prioritize free or low-cost transportation options between stops.

Should you choose to drive, be aware that some parks require paid parking, and certain hotels may only permit parking with a confirmed dining reservation. Note that the Society’s route is designed to minimize travel expense and maximize mystery.

Group Size Guidance

We recommend embarking on your Society mystery with a party of up to four explorers. This allows for ease of movement and shared discovery. We recommend appointing one trusted person to oversee reservations and coordinate plans. Some locations require advance booking for dining or timed entry, so an appointee may be useful.
